Sew much Sewing

I had the wonderful opportunity to go to JoAnn Fabrics after Thanksgiving sale. On Friday from 6am-noon they had flannel for .99cents a yard. I wanted to horde it all for myself!!!! I purchased enough for Christmas pj's for all my nieces, nephews, and my own kiddos. Then the daunting task of cutting them all out, and sewing kinda threw me. I sat there wishing I had a serger that worked. I remembered a co-worker of mine telling me once she had a serger I could borrow. I called her and then picked it up yesterday. I didn't look at it until this morning, but I wondered to myself if it was the same as my non-functioning one. I lift the cover and hey, look it's the same model. I leave the room and, wait there's something missing. I go back and remove the cover again, it's missing it's thread holders and , shoot, where's the presser foot?! I know this woman doesn't sew, not even sure why she has a serger, so I didn't mind that she couldn't find the manual, but doesn't one usually store the machine with it's presser foot? I must say I am thankful for the coincidence that we have the same machine models, I can interchange the parts. And I have the manual to mine. : )

I have to work tonight, and I have been cutting out all afternoon. Now I have to clean and figure out dinner....pork something.
Maybe I'll get to sewing tomorrow. If the munchkins will let me. LOL
