Ode to the boys
Little Jon and AaronWalkin' through the forest
Arguin' back and forth
At what the other'ne has to say
Building forts and shootin' rabbits
Havin' such a good time
Oo-de-lally, Oo-de-lally
Golly, what a day
Never ever thinkin' there was danger in the water
They were fishin' and just raftin' down
Never dreamin' that the neighbors were a watchin'
callin' and complaining, keep those boys from comin' 'round
Little Jon and Aaron
Runnin' through the forest
Jumpin' fences, dodgin' trees
An' tryin' to get away
Running home to safety
and swearing that they didn't do it
Oo-de-lally, Oo-de-lally
Golly, what a day
Oo-de-lally, Oo-de-lally
Golly, what a day

Loved your "Ode." Very evocative of the two boys--how observant you were to be able to capture them so well. Thanks for sharing the images with us. Aunt Carolyn
I wish i could have that kind of adventure during the summer but nope i had to babysit half the time. I took Noah into the tree farm one day and i had the machete in hand and i was ready to chop down some evil black berrie bushes that would be in the way. Then Noah saw a no trespassing sign and flipped out because he was afraid of getting caught. That boy worries way to much and sometimes its almost impossible to have fun with him. I hate doing things alone.
