No worries....

I was peeling potatoes when I came up with that last post. Please don't think there is some underlying, subconscious, hidden meaning. Sometimes when I do menial tasks, like mopping the floor, washing dishes, or peeling potatoes, strings of words or in this case lyrics just come to me. I make them up into songs to keep my mind off the boring task at hand.

Speaking of potatoes, I think I have some to peel for dinner. It's pot roast tonight, gotta have potatoes for the gravy. YUM!!

A country song...

One step, two step, three step, four...
my heart falters as I reach the door
Won't you just say those words to me,
stop me now before I leave...

Cause my dreams are flying
far away without me
And my soul is here dying
you want what I can't be.
If I leave right now
If I leave this town
I just can't come back.

One step, two step, three step, four...
my heart falters as you reach the door
You need to hear those words from me
I want to stop you before you leave...

But your dreams are flying
far away without you.
If I keep you here, you're trying
to be what I want you.
If you leave this town
If you go right now
I know you won't come back

My wings are aching
to take flight.

My heart is breaking
don't leave tonight.

I don't want to fight
but I just can't stay.

You don't want this life
what more can I say...

Hold me here with you...

And watch you slowly fade?

If we let go now, where is the strength?

If we hold on now, there will be more pain.

But my dreams are flying, (echo) your dreams are flying
far away without me, (echo) far away with you...
If I leave right now, (echo) If you leave this town
I just can't... (echo) I know you won't...
(Together) Come back

CANDY CORN...YUMMMM!

So it's me and the kiddos again this weekend. I enjoy this time with them, and revel in the thought of getting things done. Although about half those things never get done, but we still have fun just hanging out. So today we went to the bullseye logo store and I found a big pillar candle on clearance for $4. The scent is sonoma pear, and I know this scent blends well with their sandalwood. The sandalwood pillar was also on clearance and tempted as I was, I did not get both. After we got home, I lamented not getting the sandalwood candle and I figured I had enough $ leftover I could go back later.

I asked the kidlings what they wanted for dinner and they unanimously said "hamburgers" I agreed and bribed them into going to the store with purchase of lunchables if they were on sale. We piled in the car, again, and found that everyone and their Gramma was at the store today. Alas the lunchable were not on sale, so we got a huge italian sub from the deli to share. Jen wanted no part in the purchase of this sandwich (she brought $1 for her lunchable), and said she was buying something else with HER money. Candy corn was it. Addictive little sugar triangles. Your mouth says your done as your hand reaches for a few more.

Guess I won't be getting that candle now, but at least lunch and dinner are going to be easy.

The bag of candy corn is on the counter w/in easy reach of Lil. Every few minutes she slyly goes up and gets another piece. Jen better pay more attention. LOL!
