I just realized
Today is October 3rd. We would have made this our wedding date, but I didn't want to wait that long. But this is the date that we first became a couple. That means that Derek and I have been together for 10 yrs. WOW! Crazy thing is, it doesn't even feel like a decade, yep 10 years equals a decade, has gone by. I know I am blessed, and I am thankful everyday. Derek, I love you and I appreciate all that you are and all that you do. I hope for many, many, more years with you.
button, button, who's got the button?
I know I have mentioned before that my son's comfort pose is thumb in mouth, finger in belly button. We have called this his button since he was a baby. Asking him where his button was, and laughing as he would pull his shirt up to point to it. (Even funnier when he used to wear onesises(snap crotch) and would get confused because he wasn't sure how to get to his button.)
So the other day we are walking back from the store and we need to cross a busy street with a cross walk signal. We tell him to push the button, and he promptly lifts up his shirt and pokes his "button". I laughed so much, still am. That was so gosh darn cute!
the cast of oz
When Aid saw the pattern for Lil's costume he decided he wanted to be the Tinman on the cover. Notice it's the Tinman, not the Scarecrow because "he's shiny". LOL I cringe somewhat because the pattern calls for silver lame'. Priced that about $8 a yard for costume lame'. But that's what coupons are for. So I have Glenda the Good Witch, Dorothy, and now the Tin-man. Derek said, although not sure if he's serious, he wants to be the Cowardly Lion. Mmmmm, we'll see.
